and rainy, and summers are warmer and rainy. It’s people fleeing
cold and snow from other parts of the world that make winter Hawaii’s
peak tourist season. Crowds pack the islands from mid-December to mid-January,
with Christmas through New Year’s taking the prize as the busiest
time on the islands. Crowds are thick and prices sky high during this
time, and reservations must be made well in advance.
The secondary peak season is in the summer from mid-June through August.
The schools are out and the families hit the beaches in force.
Smart travelers can find great prices for spring and autumn vacations
in Hawaii. In these off-seasons the crowds are thinner, but the weather’s
