Kapolei Golf Course

Kapolei Golf CourseThis Kapolei Hawaii Golf Course began hosting the LPGA Hawaiian Open in 1996, so it’s no surprise that many consider it to be one of the best places to go golfing in Hawaii. No Hawaii golf vacation is complete without a stop at this excellent Hawaii golf spot.

The Kapolei Golf Course is wide open on the front and back 9’s, and trade winds continuously blowing toward the Pacific, creating challenges equal to the course’s scenic beauty. The most difficult hole is #7, a 586-yard par 5, which plays directly into the ceaseless wind, while the most scenic hole is #18, a 415-yard par 4 with a great view of the ocean (though a big water hazard makes it challenging too). The flat front nine contrasts with the back mildly hilly back nine, causing uneven lies on the speedy, medium-sized greens.
