Lihue is Kauai’s largest city, providing the island
with an airport and a center for local business. It is also a great
place to start your exploration of the underappreciated, tiny island.
Kalapaki Beach is one of many coastal opportunities, and probably the
best. The beaches here are beautiful and provide guests with lots of
space to roam and relax. Nearby wildlife refuges protect portions of
land that are quite close to the city, so natural wonders are never
far. The majestic Wailua Falls and Fern Grotto provide ample excuses
to get out and explore the island for yourself. |
