Waikanaloa Caves

Waikanaloa Caves are 3 small caves in Hawaii that can be visited easily. They are a treat for anyone on a Hawaii vacation that marvels at the islands’ natural beauty.

Wet cave is a lava tube that contains a small freshwater sea. Visitors are not permitted to swim in this water. The cave is located only a few meters from the road.

Dry cave is a three meter high, 50m wide and 100m deep sea-cave with a floor made up from sand deposited by a Tsunami nearly 5 decades ago. This cave is located 100m before the road ends at Ha'ena Beach, right at the roadside.

The third cave, Waikapala'e Cave, can be very difficult to find, as there are no signs to point the way. It is 5 minutes walk up the hill from Wet Cave.
