Palauea is a primitive beach wrought with natural beauty.
The surf stretches slowly down its length, grazing the occasional beach
chair or sunbather.
If you need to get away from the crowds of Honolulu or other tourist
slain spots, Palauea is one of your best bets. There are no significant
developments visible from the coastline, just bright green leafy vegetation,
stocky palm trees, and winding sands. The sandy lagoon is easily accessible,
sloping gently into the Pacific and providing snorkelers with a calm
launch point. High surf is rare, to the dismay of local surfers. |
