Lanakai remains a relatively unpopular destination, a
plus for visitors who appreciate some seclusion. Some of Hawaii’s
best offshore kayaking, windsurfing, snorkeling, and scuba diving can
be found in this unscathed paradise.
Many frequent visitors swear by the quaint beach rentals and cozy sands
of Lanikai because of overcrowding on other Hawaiian strands. The Mokoluna
Islands are visible offshore and wildlife frequently washes ashore.
Kailua Bay is one of the best places to swim and stretch out in the
