This Georgia classic was the site of many whitewater events in the 2006 Olympics. World class kayaking is available on this widely varying waterway, which flows through western North Carolina as well as Georgia.

The Carolinian gorges are deep and stunning and as they flow over the border, they can provide some very challenging class four and five rapids. Depending on where you put in, a ride can be quick and strenuous or slow and relaxed. Either way, you’ll be enchanted by the abundant wildlife and well-protected land in Ocoee’s watershed.
