The Chatahoochee River National Recreation Area is a
great place to escape life’s banal routine. It’s rocky banks
and twisting waters are a popular draw for tubing, canoeing, and kayaking
as well as various watershed activities.
The river also provides the area with impressive wildlife, adorning
the shores and outlying land. About fifty miles of trails now cut through
the area, offering guests a chance to traverse the varying terrain.
These hikes provide amazing views in dense and developed forest. Interpretive
programs put on by park rangers can give keen insight to newfound adventurers.
Although no camping is allowed onsite, there are several state parks
and lakes that offer lodging nearby. |
