Chatahoochee River National Recreation Area

The Chatahoochee River National Recreation Area is a great place to escape life’s banal routine. It’s rocky banks and twisting waters are a popular draw for tubing, canoeing, and kayaking as well as various watershed activities.

The river also provides the area with impressive wildlife, adorning the shores and outlying land. About fifty miles of trails now cut through the area, offering guests a chance to traverse the varying terrain. These hikes provide amazing views in dense and developed forest. Interpretive programs put on by park rangers can give keen insight to newfound adventurers.

Although no camping is allowed onsite, there are several state parks and lakes that offer lodging nearby.
