Savannah National Wildlife Refuge

An amazing bird population and vast, untouched land are the boasts of Savannah, a wet, grassy marshland located in Low County, Georgia. Native and migrating birds make their way through the park, drawing visitors and sparking nature/bird-watching festivals every year.

There are many dikes and boat-only paths that make the parks interior much more accessible than some nearby sanctuaries. Alligators, reptiles, and feral hogs can also be seen in the right seasons and sites. The freshwater pools that have gathered here are also open to fishing, swimming, and various other lakeside activities.
