Trail Description:
This loop trail is excellent for novice hikers. One mile into
the trail, hikers will view Nancytown Falls. The trail then
goes by a beaver pond and follows a creek. The last part of
the trail follows Red Root Road back to the starting point.

Travel Information
Trailhead Directions: Take U.S. 441/GA 365 north from Cornelia
to Clarkesville exit (GA 197). Turn right on Old 197. At
second stop sign, turn right onto Dicks Hill Parkway. Go
0.8 mile and turn left on Forest Service Road 59 (Lake
Russell Road). Go 2 miles and turn left to Nancytown Lake.
Follow signs to parking. Trailhead begins at the dam.
