Trail Description:

This trail begins west of Neels Gap at Flatrock Gap on the Appalachian Trail. The trail meanders around the south slopes of historic Blood Mountain to Bird Gap, intersecting with the Appalachian Trail again. Caution: This trail is located in the Chestatee Wildlife Management Area which is open to various hunting seasons throughout the year.

Trailhead Directions:

Take U.S. 19 north from Dahlonega for 21 miles to Neels Gap. Access this trail from Neels Gap or Byron Herbert Reece Trail.
