The Golden Isles have become steadily more popular with
the progression of time. The shores are currently covered with marinas,
docks, hotels, restaurants, and various other amenities to make St.
Simons more accessible to visitors.
There are still pockets of protected natural land. Some visitors enjoy
a salt marsh tour or rent a boat to view the many natural wonders of
the surrounding coasts. Wildlife still runs free in spots as well; there
are well-forested patches for native deer, turtles, and armadillo to
roam. Dolphin Watches are also a popular pastime. |
