January is the coldest month in Atlanta, with an average high
of 52 degrees F and low of 34 degrees F. The lowest temperature
recorded in the city was –9 degrees F (thought this was
over a century ago).
Atlanta doesn’t get much snow, but the city receives a good
deal of precipitation throughout the year. Average annual rainfall
is 50.5 inches.
