 Stone Mountain Park is a Georgia amusement park located in Atlanta. This Georgia theme park is a wonderful Georgia vacation destination for outdoor adventure lovers.
Visitors to Stone Mountain Park can cruise the tranquil waters of Stone Mountain Lake on the Scarlett O’Hara. This authentic side-wheeler carries 150 passengers, and was built at the park in 1976. There’s a 20 minute cruise every 1/2 hour until closing. Other attractions include:
- The Tree-house Challenge is an outdoor attraction with 2 dueling tree houses, where groups of boys and groups of girls join forces to compete against the other.
- The top attraction is The Summit Skyride, a high-speed Swiss cable car providing a stunning view of the Confederate Memorial Carving
- Scenic Railroad features a a five-mile excursion on a full size locomotive from the 1940’s.
- Antebellum Plantation & Farmyard displays life in the 1800’s with 19 historically restored and decorated buildings.
