 Six Flags Over Georgia is a 230-acre Georgia amusement park located west of Atlanta, Georgia. Opened in 1967. Six Flags Over Georgia has 2 sister parks, Six Flags Over Texas and Six Flags St. Louis. Six Flags Over Georgia hosts characters from the Warner Bros. animation library, such as the Looney Tunes characters and Justice League from DC comic books.
Like most Georgia theme parks, Six Flags Over Georgia boast and impressive roller coaster collection including the Goliath, wthich made it only the 3rd amusement park to operate 4 coasters from the internationally renowned design firm of Bolliger & Mabillard.
Six Flags Over Georgia maintains many rides and attractions, including Acrophobia, the world's first "floorless" freefall tower ride, and the Riverview Carousel, one of only 3 remaining 5-abreast carousels known to exist and a member of the National Register of Historic Places. |
