Having a good time in Florida is possible during all seasons. The majority
of the state’s visitors seem to prefer October through April when
it comes to the Florida Keys. Winter is the peak of the tourist season
in the Florida Keys because of these crowds of "snowbirds"
fleeing icy weather to the north (though for the record it did snow
once in Miami in the 1970s, but the average snowfall has been exactly
0 inches ever since). This means the beaches hotels, bars, dance clubs,
restaurants, shops and other attractions are all going to get crowded.
Summer in Florida is often quite hot and extremely humid, but in the
Florida Keys the sea-breezes can make the weather there almost comfortable.
Budget-minded travelers will be happy to discover that many hotels lower
their prices considerably during the summer months.
For the college crowd, Spring Break will always be the right time to
flock to the Florida Keys. For senior citizens, fall is the best time
to visit thank to the discounts that can be found at various attractions
and hotels. |
