Like most Florida state parks, Torreya offers rarities
almost exclusively native to the southernmost state. Over one hundred
species of birds are dotted around these parts, making bird watching
a popular activity.
The system of trails is also a draw. Challenging treks through lush
vegetation and scenic bluffs await those brave enough to take on the
winding miles. While exploring, you should keep an eye out for the scarce
Torreya, a type of tree that only grows in the bluffs within the park
grounds. |
