This relatively calm, deep south state park is located
on Florida’s famous stretch of islands which reach out into the
Atlantic. Much of the draw for outdoor tourism is the lack of crowds,
distracted by the keys’ other, more populated islands such as
Key West or Key Largo.
A popular kayaking, snorkeling and scuba diving site, you can rent any
equipment you’ll need from the park’s well-run concessions.
An impressive amount of interesting sea-life flourishes on the park’s
coastline.
Whether you want to cram your days full of activity, or simply relax
on the beach with no prior plans, Bahia Honda is a worthwhile destination.
