Tropical Park is one of the largest sports-oriented parks in Miami, Florida. Tropical Park has numerous outdoor activity areas from trails to courts to excellent spots for a little Florida fishing in 4 lakes stocked with bass, catfish and bluegill. These lakes also offer a variety of other water sports like freshwater swimming. One lake is set aside for paddle boating. Visitors to Tropical Park can enjoy almost every sport since the park offers separate playing areas for basketball, soccer, softball, football and volleyball. The park also offers racquetball and tennis facilities, including 12 lighted wheelchair-accessible tennis courts. The park provides an easy bike path that might not challenge experienced mountain bikers, but certainly offers family fun, and the foot trails that wind their way around the lakes are among the best places for jogging in the greater Miami area. |
