From the tiny town of Milton to Wakulla Springs moving
east, the North Florida Outdoor Adventure Trail is aptly named. Whether
you’ve planned your trip extensively or you’re playing it
by ear, this trail has enough options for any crowd.
The best part of this trail is the long slow Florida streams. They are
perfect for canoeing, and you can stop at one of many camping sites
and set up for the night. There are also several rental facilities along
Wolf Creek. The trail ends up in the midst of a rare natural phenomenon.
The Ichetucknee River, which is fed by the similarly named series of
springs, flows crystal clear through lush vegetation. The freshwater
marvel is one of the biggest in the world. Life is abundant along this
span, perfect for fishing, swimming canoeing, and more. |
