Fishing at Biscayne National Park
The Fishing at Biscayne National Park in Florida is exceptional year-round. There are more than 250 different kinds of fish throughout its 172,924 gross acres making their home in the park. Snapper, grouper, and sea trout thrive in the bay, while hogfish and tuna are found on the ocean side of the keys. Snook, Bonefish, Tarpon Grunt and Barracuda are also residents.

The water at Biscayne National Park is some of the clearest in the state, and added bonus for Florida fishing fans. It’s almost like looking through a pane of glass, and is comparable to the Keys.

Although Biscayne National Park is part of the federal parks service, fishing and other harvesting activities are covered by state law, so a valid Florida State Recreational Saltwater Fishing License is required to fish in Biscayne National Park, and Florida's regulations on size, number, season, and method of take must be followed.
