South Beach Park
and South Beach Pavilion feature beautiful, undeveloped Florida beaches
that are great for swimming and surfing. There are lifeguards, showers
and restrooms available. A nature trail winds through the park and is
a great place to spot local wildlife and plants.
The beach itself lies over the sand dunes covered in sea grapes and
offers visitors a quiet break from the noise and traffic. Florida fishing
is permitted only in non swimming areas. Park entrance is $16 per vehicle.
The South Beach Pavilion is adjacent to the park and has a covered platform
overlooking the beach. Parking is limited to one hour but local parking
is available. There are restrooms, showers, a picnic area and boardwalk
on premises.
The beach is open and wide and it is a popular location for surfing.
There is no entrance fee and plenty of nearby shops and restaurants
as well as cabana and water sport equipment rentals. For those looking
for an action packed beach, this would be the place. |
