This state park is basically all beach,
encapsulated on all sides by the rough Atlantic and two ensuing bays.
Millions of visitors adorn Delaware’s beaches each year on this
beautiful and readily accessible peninsula.
Surfing and sail boating also take place, just offshore. This is a
rare spot on the eastern seaboard where the waves are tall enough
to ride inland, and the summer sees much jockeying for position amongst
wave riders. Another surf-related activity is the beach’s excellent
fishing. Many anglers line the beaches as they become less crowded,
or rent a charter to fish the open water.
Delaware Seashore is one of the state’s gems and will surely
be a popular vacation spot for generations to come.
