Another day-use Delaware state park on the banks
of a splendid river, Brandywine is about one thousand acres of
gently developed natural setting. The creek is a steadily moving
mass, just deep enough for canoeing, tubing, kayaking, and fishing
boats.
The surrounding watershed is bustling with natural life, and begging
to be explored. The park now contains fourteen miles of engaging
trails, a nice thorough system of clearly marked pathways. There
are clear, open fields for summertime romps and thickly wooded
regions that seal off the park from the rest of the world.
