is temperate but humid. The average summer temperature is approximately
75 degrees while its winter temperature averages 32 degrees. The sky
is sunny only slightly more than half the days of the year, and annual
precipitation is 45 inches. Temperatures are somewhat more extreme near
the coast, with winters that are 10 degrees colder and summers that
are 10 degrees warmer.
Delaware’s weather and climate is greatly affected by the ocean.
The Southern third of the state can be classified as a mild subtropical
climate with hot, sticky summers and forgiving winters.
