When to visit:

Delaware is an often over looked spot for outdoor adventure. The southern part of the state has manageable winters and offers some descent winter activities. It’s also the cheapest time of the year to visit.

Tourist season in Delaware lasts from Memorial Day to Labor Day, but summer crowds have been arriving earlier and staying later. Many of the states parks have begun charging admission in the spring and fall, but it’s still possible to beat the worst of the peak season prices and crowds. Just don’t expect to have the same breathing room in the off-season that you used to.
