“Delmarva” is the cleverly adapted
title of three states that come together on one geographic land
mass. Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia share the coastline, which
offers flat beaches and deep offshore tides.
All along this strip of land, there are state parks, wildlife
refuges, and public beaches to suit the outdoor adventurer, and
a variety of attractions for those who want to stay inland.
Towns here are split apart by the varying land. Marshes, dense
forests, and dunes chop up the land just in from the sandy beaches.
Minus the sprawling coastal communities, there are expansive,
immaculate shores, many of the best beaches existing right here
in Delaware. So for a multifarious, oceanfront vacation, map out
your trip along the Delmarva coast.
