20000 sq ft hangar to display the aircraft, 1300 sq ft area to exhibit, 6400 sq ft area that boast the museum stores, a theater, workshops & above all , 100000 sq ft parking area for the aircraft to inspect very closely, this special Air Mobility Command Museum is out-and-out for military airlift & air refueling history. Situated in the vicinity of Dover Air Force Base, the museum has vast collection of tankers aircraft & completely restored cargo. It was used for the development of secret rocket & houses 28 different types of aircrafts & artifacts including the aircraft engines and B-17 bombs. It also helps in discovering the history & Dover Air Force Base's missions. For this, volunteers like retired pilots, flight engineers can help you who also describe the actual events.
Air Mobility Command Museum
Built around 1884, The Lewes Lifesaving Station Boathouse was formerly a division of Lewes Lifesaving Station located on the Delaware Bay. It possesses two displays illuminating the USLSS history & the brave men who released the trapped sailors and photographic exhibition of Lewes, Cape Henlopen and Rehoboth Beach stations during military exercise in the Atlantic surf and along the beaches. Along with this, it also has two surf boats, beach cart, a life car & Lyle gun that were used by surf men during the 19th century.
