While travelling to Connecticut, remember you have put your foot on the right note if you are aspiring for some ski adventure. There are several skiing areas in the state and it’s likely that you will find one nearby wherever you go. At the northwest corner of Connecticut is Mohawk Mountain that fulfills the skiing aspirations of the visitors and locals alike. Rushing streams, good old covered bridge and evenly spread tall pines make the place a beautiful ski destination. There are 107 skiing spots spread on 23 trails offering wide, sweeping and open ski grounds. Mohawk Mountain is also the largest night skiing area in Connecticut. The area also offers food service, ski shop with rentals and Mohawk’s Base Lodge which has wonderful warm stone fireplace surrounded by antique skis and sleigh. Mount Southington Ski Area is another great spot in Connecticut with loads of family entertainment.
