Lower Bolton Lake in Connecticut is known by many names including, Cedar Swamp Pond, Quarryville Pond, and Willimantic Reservoir. This beautiful Connecticut lake is located in the towns of Bolton and Vernon in the north-central part of the state, about 14 miles east of Hartford, Connecticut. It is the lower portion of a 3-lake chain called the Bolton Lakes.

The surface area of the lake is 176 acres and has a maximum depth of almost 20 feet. Boaters at Bolton Lake can find access to the water at a state owned boat launch next to the dam. The launch area has a paved ramp and a parking lot for 50 cars (as well as chemical toilets (depending on the seasonal)). Lake regulations limit the use of motorboats to those of 6 horse power or less.

Anglers have plenty to be pleased about with regard to Lower Bolton Lake. The game fish found here in the lake include largemouth bass, yellow perch and sunfish.
