Summer tourist season in Connecticut is serious business for the state,
and there are lots of great summer hotspots to enjoy. You’ll be
enjoying them with peak-season crowds at peak-season prices, but Connecticut
really delivers in the summer.
Off-season visitors will find a lot of places, like restaurants and
theaters, closed until summer rolls around again, but on the bright
side the prices fall and the crowds thin considerably. In fact, after
Labor Day the state empties out to a surprising degree, leaving plenty
of space for fall foliage lovers to enjoy Connecticut’s impressive
autumn displays.
Campers will find a number of reasonably priced campgrounds in the spring
and fall, too.
