The Peabody Museum of Natural History is one of the oldest, largest, and most prolific university natural history museums in the world, founded by the philanthropist George Peabody in 1866. Located at 170 Whitney Avenue, New Haven, Connecticut, the Peabody Museum of Natural History is widely known for its Great Hall of Dinosaurs that includes a mounted juvenile Apatosaurus and the 110-foot (34 m) long mural and the Age of Reptiles.

Besides, the hall also includes permanent exhibits dedicated to human and mammal evolution, Egyptian artifacts, wildlife dioramas, the birds and minerals and Native Americans of Connecticut. The museum also houses many other exhibits and world-important collections on display that make it indeed a worth visiting place of the city.
