Mystic Seaport
The Peabody Museum of Natural History is one of the oldest, largest and most prolific university natural history museums in the world. It was founded by the philanthropist George Peabody in 1866. Located at 170 Whitney Avenue in New Haven, the Peabody Museum of Natural History is widely known for its Great Hall of Dinosaurs that includes a mounted juvenile Apatosaurus, the 110-foot mural and the Age of Reptiles.

Besides, the hall also comprises permanent exhibits dedicated to human and mammal evolution, Egyptian artifacts, wildlife dioramas, the birds and minerals and Native Americans of Connecticut.
