Elizabeth Park in Hartford is a wonderful 102 acres facility housing many garden areas, bowling greens, a century-old Lord and Burnham house and a scenic pond. Located in the heart of Hartford, Bushnell Park is as beautiful as the number of features it offers. It is the best leisure spot in the city. Bushnell Park
Seaside Park is a four kilometer long crescent-shaped park bordering Bridgeport Harbor, Long Island Sound and the Black Rock Harbor. It is located barely half a mile away from one of the busiest highways in the nation and neighborhoods that make up the historic scene of the city. This park was designed by Fredrick Law Olmstead who also created the Central Park in New York. Regarded as one of the country’s first major rural parks, Seaside Park is just a sanctuary away from the crowding industrial landscape. The park is spread out on 370 acres of land, many of which have been reclaimed from the waters with dykes and fills. It was built in 1865 through 1920. The visitors can find beaches, sports fields, and vast stretches of lawn, towering trees and sweeping views of Long Island Sound. The park is home to the Gathering of the Vibes, an annual four-day music, camping and arts festival that showcases a diverse variety of music.
