Aspen Highlands in White River National Forest boasts four mountains that offer maximum variety at single ski resort. World famous Maroon Bells flaunt the most scenic views. With a wide snow spread in 4993 acres, 42 lifts and 335 trails, all four mountains - Snowmass, Aspen, Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk – combine to form the best terrain. What’s more, the entire area is far beyond the restriction of being commercial. Aspen offers variety of choices to suit every budget. Entire set up is around the Rocky Mountains also known as the Roaring Fork. Clearly the Aspen Highlands have all the basic elements to multiply your skiing adventure.
Aspen Highlands
It is the longest ski season in North America. Arapahoe Basin or A-Basin situated at the height of 13,050 feet, receives 350 inches of snowfall annually. Skiing and snowboarding are altogether different experiences on this terrain. There are separate lessons for beginners and experts. Perhaps this is the reason why it is considered as the topmost ski area for family outing. Skiers can get to the maximum altitude run in more than 900 acres of snow cover. Black Mountain Express, the high speed chairlift, takes you to the adventure trip of the terrains. If you love challenge then Pallavicini lift would be the best option to visit the most difficult terrains in the state.
