Situated on the foot of America’s most famous mountain, Pikes Peak, Colorado Springs is the largest city of Colorado in terms of area. Rocky Mountains is stretched from north to south of this city. And without much billboards and skyscrapers in the downtown area, you can get picture perfect views of the beautiful mountains. Colorado Springs has been often listed as the best city to live in America. It has also become one of the favorite venues for establishing big technological companies in America. Colorado Avenue, located in downtown, is packed with number of historical buildings, art galleries and shopping destinations. Besides Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, US Air Force Academy, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Caves of the Winds and Peterson Air and Space Museum are the other major attractions.

This is a very famous tourist spot in downtown Colorado Springs with a collection of over 40,000 exhibits portraying the history and culture of this region. There is a courtroom on the upper-floor above the Pioneers Museum which now in fact is a beautiful hall with wooden furniture periodically acting as a venue for many musical concerts, plays, and local community events.

A little west of ‘The Broadmoor’, this park within the foothills offers hiking trails through mountain canyons with great views of the Rockies. This is a perfect locale at close quarters with plenty of picnic shelters; these canyons are very popular with the climbers who are often seen mounting the cliff-walls. It is also a scenic adventure which is clean and nice, and extremely popular with the local crowd.
