  • Colorado Rail Road Museum
Majestic histories of Colorado’s rail-roads serving the state for more than one and a quarter of century can be explored at Colorado Rail Road Museum in Golden. The museum is located on 15 acres of area on the base of North Table Mountain along the Clear Creek. Construction of the building reminds the days of 1880s. It features rare photographs, artifacts and authentic documents giving a true picture of development of great railways in Colorado. It is also rated as one of the top ten attractions in Denver metro area. It is also the largest narrow gauge museum in the west of Rocky Mountains. Denver HO Club model railroad layout, Denver Garden Railway exhibition and a library comprising over 10,000 railway specific books are the other major attractions to watch in the museum.
Colorado Rail Road Museum
In 1944, a famous publisher A.A. Paddock founded the Boulder Historical Society and Museum, which is now known as the Boulder History Museum. The historic Harbeck-Bergheim House located on University Hill is the home to this museum. It has the collection of more than 35,000 objects reflecting the historical dimensions of Boulder over the last 60 years. Most of these articles are donated by the families and companies in this area. The Phyllis Plehaty Costume Collection is the largest one that includes various sorts of hats and clothing, even socks and innerwear. Besides, personal artifacts, communication tools, rare furniture, medical equipments and lots of interesting recreational stuff can be seen here.
