Information on Ski Sunrise:
Ski Sunrise is hidden away in the Angeles National Forest in Southern California. A quad aerial lift, two surface lifts and one rope tow service 24 runs, with additional open-glade skiing. Ski Sunrise is the perfect place for families. It is big enough to offer a variety of terrain for all ability levels. Snowboarders are allowed on designated trails. Ski Sunrise is one of the West's only upside down ski areas. You drive your car to the top of the mountain, and without waiting, ski right down to the foot of the slopes and take the various lifts back up again. PSIA-trained instructors teach all levels from first time beginners to experts. Group and private instruction is available. Snowboard lessons are available too. Children 3 to 6 can partake in private, one-hour instruction that emphasizes skiing skills and fun. Skier services include ski and snowboard rentals, a full cafeteria and retail shop. Ski Sunrise is just 90 minutes from downtown Los Angeles. Located just four miles west of Wrightwood, follow Highway 2 (Scenic Byway) to Big Pines, then go one mile on Table Mountain Road to Ski Sunrise.
