Information on Mountain High Resort:
Mountain High is Southern California's most popular winter resort. Just 75 minutes from Los Angeles and Orange Counties, the area welcomes its guests with three distinctly different mountains and a wide variety of lifts and trails. Each base area is complete with ticket windows, restaurants, rentals, sport shops, ski & snowboard lessons and more. Though you can't see it from the base area, the East Resort stretches 1.6 miles up into the mountains offering some of the best cruising trails and powder runs in the region. At the West Resort you'll find an equally impressive mountain loaded with both technical terrain and wide-open beginner areas. And new this year, the area is proud to announce the addition of Mountain High North. You will find it seated directly across from Mountain High's West Resort and open peak-season for lessons, tubing and more. West Resort: The West Resort is filled with a seemingly endless assortment of technical trails and skillfully-designed terrain features to satisfy the sport's new freestyle culture. It is the more youthful of the three areas and the site of many on-hill contests, promotions and live performances. It is also Southern California's only local resort open seven nights a week. East Resort: The East Resort is somewhat of an undiscovered treasure with cruising trails more than a mile and a half long, thrilling moguls and breathtaking views of the Mojave Desert. Rising as high as 8,200 feet, the East Resort offers traditional skiers and snowboarders a true alpine experience without having to journey far from home. North Resort: New this season, Mountain High offers a third resort with 70 acres of tubing and beginner terrain catering to families, snowplayers and introductory skiers. Formerly Ski Sunrise, Mountain High North is located across from the West Resort and free shuttles are available. The North Pole Tubing Park will operate 7-days-a-week, peak season, and lift service for skiers and snowboarders will be available on peak weekends and holidays. From Los Angeles or Orange County, take I-10 east or 60 Freeway east or 91 Freeway east to I-15 north, to 138 west to Highway 2 and go three miles past Wrightwood. From San Fernando Valley, take I-5 north to 14 Freeway to Pearblossom Highway 138 east and follow the signs.
