At Big Bear Mountain Resorts ONE lift ticket is good at BOTH Snow Summit and Bear Mountain. With 24 chairlifts serving over 400 acres, 50+ trails and over a 1,700-foot vertical drop, Snow Summit and Bear Mountain offer terrain for all types and ability levels of skiers and snowboarders.

Both Snow Summit and Bear Mountain boast professionally taught skiing and snowboarding lessons for beginners through experts, full service rental shops, fine food outlets, complete sport shops, full service bars and a complimentary shuttle service between the two resorts.

"The Park" at Bear Mountain is Southern California's ultimate place to learn to snowboard and the only mountain resort in the U.S. devoted almost entirely to freestyle terrain. At its peak, "The Park" incorporates over 100 jumps with step-ups, step-downs, tables, hips, vaders, spines and rollers and nearly 60 jibs including rails and boxes! "The Park" is also home to Southern California's only Superpipe with an enormous length of 580 feet, a width of 67 feet and 17 foot walls! In the base area, you will find The Scene with a revolving setup of signature jibs and a snowskate park. Check out all the action from the Beach Bar or BBQ located on the 13,000 sq. foot sundeck. "The Park" is perfect for skiers and snowboarders attempting their first jump or jib, those who are looking to progress skills they have already developed, on up to the world's top professional riders. No matter what your ability level or style, "The Park" has something for everyone! Bear Mountain is also home to challenging steeps including Geronimo, which begins atop Bear Peak at an elevation of 8,805 feet and Silver Mountain with the perfect pitches of Exhibition, Quicksilver and Rip Cord.

When you have had a good dose of "The Park," head over to Snow Summit and ride the world famous Westridge Park, which is also open for night sessions most Friday, Saturday and holiday evenings from 3:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

From Los Angeles:

Take Interstate 10 east to the Highway 30/330 exit. Take Hwy 30 north to 330, which turns into Highway 18 north. Turn right at Big Bear Dam to the resort.The distance is approximately 106 miles

Alternate route to Bear Mountain Resort:

From San Bernardino:

Take Interstate 10 east to the Hwy 30/330 exit. Take Hwy 30 north to Hwy 330, which turns into Highway 18 north. Turn right at Big Bear Dam to the reosrt. The distance is approximately 46 miles


From San Diego:

Take Interstate 15 north to Interstate 215 north to Interstate 10 east. Take Interstate 10 east to Highway 30/330 exit. Take Hwy 30 north to Hwy 330 north which turns into Highway 18 north. Turn right at Big Bear Dam to the resort. The distance is approximately 155 miles
