Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, California is spacious and attractive park with countless activities and 1st rate San Francisco attractions. From the De Young Museum to the Conservatory of Flowers to the music concourse, the cultural amenities here are unparalleled, and the California Academy of Sciences is due to re-open in 2008.
Getting around the park is fun and easy. Golden Gate Park Shuttle is a free shuttle that picks up passengers at 15 locations throughout the Park, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekends and holidays. Visitors who drive can park in the Music Concourse Garage, and bicycle parking is free.
Visitors with a hankering for sporting activities won’t find a better spot in all the San Francisco parks system than Golden Gate Park. An archery field lies just north of the golf course, while basketball games can always be found on in the Panhandle at the eastern end of the park, which also offers biking, boating and more.
