The Hollywood Bowl amphitheatre 2301 North Highland Avenue in Hollywood, California is a world famous venue primarily used for musical performances. It officially opened in 1922 on the site of the natural amphitheatre that was at the time called the Daisy Dell. It has been the summer home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic ever since. The resident Hollywood Bowl Orchestra ensemble also calls the Bowl home.

The Hollywood Bowl is best known for its distinctive band shell, which is made of a set of concentric arches built in 1929. The shell is wired for video cameras, and features 2 large screens on either side, and 2 more atop the rearmost lighting towers The famous Hollywood Sign is visible several miles away from the Bowl site, to the north-northeast.

Numerous icon performers have played the bowl. The list includes Cher, Frank Sinatra, the Beatles, the Who, the Doors, Pink Floyd, Monty Python and Judy Garland.
