Information on The West Fork of the San Gabriel River:
from the second bridge upstream from Highway 39 to Cogswell Reservoir, is designated as a native trout "catch and release" area only. Only artificial lures with a single barbless hook may be used. This area provides accessible fishing platforms for visitors with disabilities. These facilities are behind a locked gate, however, visitors with disabilities are permitted access to the area by motor vehicle. Contact the San Gabriel River Ranger District at (626) 335-1251 for more information.
