Approximately 10 to 12 miles of the stream are fishable. Pfeiffer Beach is a Day Use Area. The closest campground is Kirk Creek about 1 mile north of Mill Creek. There are several State and private campgrounds and facilities along this section of the Monterey Coast. The Forest Service offers day use activities at Pfeiffer Beach, Mill Creek, Willow Creek and Sand Dollar Beach and camping at Plaskett and Kirk Creek campgrounds

Pfeiffer Beach is located off Highway 1 on Sycamone Canyon Road between San Simeon and Big Sur. This day use area has just been upgraded with new parking and facilities.
