Tules, pond lilies, and cattails emerge through the shallow depths of Orr Lake, providing cover and feed for fish. This lake is stocked annually with catchable sized trout, and is a popular fishing spot during the summer for the local fishermen.
Directions
to Orr Lake:
From Highway 97, between Macdoel and Weed, CA , this lake can be accessed via the paved road to Tennant, then the gravel road to Bray, and finally a primative dirt road which starts just northwest of Bray.

may not always be up to date so make sure you double check
before recreating or fishing at Orr Lake.
Fishing in this lake is common from small rowboats, rafts, and canoes. A small boat ramp was recently constructed at the northeast end of the lake. A valid California state fishing license is needed to fish within the National Forest. Licenses are sold at sporting good and other retail stores.
