California is blessed with several significant mountain ranges that are hosts to many spectacular falls. Many require fairly strenuous hiking to reach them, while other waterfalls are more accessible, yet all of them are rewarding and well worth the effort.

Among the best California waterfalls are Grizzly Falls and Roaring River Falls in Kings Canyon. This canyon is deeper than the Grand Canyon and possibly even more beautiful than Yosemite Canyon. John Muir himself thought so, and who are we to argue the point.

Grizzly Falls is a magnificent cascade. Make sure to bring your camera and set aside plenty of time for snapping pictures.  Best of all, this isn’t as well known as many of the Yosemite falls, so it isn’t as crowded (or expensive) during the peak seasons.
