Palm State Beach: This is a very popular
day use beach located in Southern Santa Cruz County. The beach is wide
spread and perfect for long walks or a picnic or simple day in the sun.
Fishing and swimming are popular activities at Palm Beach and there
are picnic tables in the day use area. Dogs are welcomed on the beach,
but must be kept on a leash at all times.
Climate: The weather conditions do tend
to change, more often during the winter months so layered clothing is
strongly recommended. Sometimes this beach is noted for its strong offshore
breezes.

Local Flavors: While this beach is on the
outskirts of Santa Cruz, technically in Watsonville, it is a very short
distance to either Santa Cruz or Capitola where one can enjoy various
beach community life. There is plenty of shopping, good dining throughout
Santa Cruz County, but a greater selection will be found in Santa Cruz.
