SAN LUIS OBISPO: Is filled with amazingly beautiful spots along
California’s Central Coastline. It is a land with wonderful
ocean breezes, excellent California weather, filled with miles
of sandy California beaches with a background of rolling hillsides.
Visitor attractions abound in San Luis Obispo County; from windswept
sand dunes to grapevine-filled valleys; from historic villages
to quaint beach towns, this is an oasis of both natural and cultural
splendor. All through the year, San Luis Obispo hosts many festivals,

The Botanical Garden Festival, I Madonnari Italian Street Painting
Festival, and Open Studios Tours. From wine festivals and music
concerts to car shows, San Luis Obispo visitors constantly have
an event or two to select from during their stay.
CLIMATE: More temperate, with patches of fog and some rain during
winter months. As with the all of the central coast of California,
temperatures can vary and layering is recommended.
LOCAL FLAVOR: Visitors are greeted by the tree-lined streets
of a charming shopping district filled with an array of stores,
outdoor cafés, and coffee houses. On Thursday evenings,
an open-air Farmer’s Market fills four blocks of Higuera
Street. There is a variance of entertainment provided during the
Farmer’s Market, to include arts and crafts booths up and
down the streets. Just-picked produce and a variety of barbecued
specialties from local restaurants help to insure an evening of
guaranteed enjoyment. San Luis is a wonderful place to find beach
rentals in central California.

San Luis Children’s Museum: Preschool through
elementary-age children learn about health, history, safety, science,
nature and the arts through a series of hands-on activities and

History Center and Museum of San Luis Obispo County:
Located in the former Carnegie Library, this museum traces the
history of San Luis Obispo County from the era of the Chumash
and Salinan Indians to present day.

Poly Canyon Loop: Eight-mile running trail lined with
lovely plants, flowers and cows.

botanical gardens and various types of hiking trails.
