Location: Mendocino County, California
MENDOCINIO HEADLANDS STATE PARK BEACH: This grass-covered headlands
Park and beach is close to charming downtown Mendocino. The Park
has access from the mouth of the Big River which is south of town.
An oasis filled with trails and is popular with hikers and joggers
alike. Mendocino Headlands is a great place for whale watching
during the winter and a wonderful place to enjoy a variety of
wildlife. The Park is distinctive with its blend of trails, rugged
coastline, isolated beaches and history surrounding the town of
Mendocino. There are literally 3 miles of moderate hiking trails
that wind along the cliffs with spectacular vistas, to include
boulder arches and hidden away caves.
*Note: This is a day camp only. There are no camping facilities.
MENDOCINO BEACH CLIMATE: As with any town on the Northern California
coast, the weather can vary and layered clothing is highly recommended.

*NOTE: Mendocino Highlands is a day park only, so other arrangements
