Picture of the Uinta Mountains taken on flight to Salt Lake City in February. The “biscuit-board” topography that is typical of the Uintas is clearly seen in the photos. This topography is glacial in origin and formed as glaciers mountain glaciers carved out the large cirques and u-shaped canyons. The Uintas contain King Peak which at over 13,500 is Utahs highest mountain.
